Sunlight Hits Airwaves With Alarambara Radio Series

Sunlight, the household detergent from the stables of Unilever Nigeria, has launched a radio drama series called Alarambara in the western region of Nigeria.

The Yoruba language production is scheduled to run for 13 episodes of five minutes each and will feature entertaining storylines centered on the the lead character, Sisi Oge, and her friends as they navigate the tricky waters of career and family life.

Category manager, Unilever Nigeria, Doyin Abanishe, said Alarambara would not only provide entertainment but also serve invaluable tips and advice on managing the home and relationships between friends and family members.

“Sisi Oge and her close-knit circle of friends are young, fun-loving, modern women who are always looking for some balance between their business and private lives. They share their tears, joys and relationship issues in a realistic, down-to-earth style that listeners can readily identify with,” Abanishe said.

And while the Sunlight proposition of superior cleaning and fragrance for laundry is worked into the plots, Abanishe insists the concept of Alarambara goes beyond brand promotion: “There is a loyalty and trust that has been built up between Sunlight and its consumers over the years and this is why we do not see ourselves as just another product in the house but a member of the household, contributing to its upkee…………… continues on AllAfrica.com

NORTH TEXAS (CBS 11 NEWS) – It’s helped tackle dirty laundry, using less energy, less water, and less detergent. However, front-load washing machines may be triggering more service calls, more trouble, and more lawsuits than manufacturers ever expected.

Michael Vogler says it’s left him high and dry. “You could say it was a clothes spoiler, instead of a clothes washer.”

Vogler is one of the lead plantiffs in a class-action lawsuit against Electrolux Home Products, the maker of his Frigidaire front-load machine. He walked us to the back of his house to a shed where he says he is storing the “evidence.”

“This is where the problem is,” Vogler said, pointing to the machine.

Vogler says he noticed his allergies worsening, his clothes smelling, and he found a streak of mold on one of his clean shirts. That’s when he discovered what was hidden inside the front seal of his machine.
